Spectacular Few things were more important to me on my bucket than visiting the beaches of Normandy and the American Cemetery. I had one chance to get this right and did a lot of web searching to find the perfect company and guide. Mike's knowledge of the history of the area and that all important day of June 6th, 1944 was all I could have wanted and more than I expected. To this day, after visiting over 20 countries, my Wife and I consider this tour to be our favorite all time excursion. I hope to return one day post covid and do more exploring with Mike and maybe spend some time at His and Deb's new B&B. Don't miss this one.

Must-do Tour My dad and I did this tour before the 74th anniversary of D-Day and it was an absolutely incredible experience. Mike did an amazing job of organizing the day, sharing touching and memorable stories, and providing an all-around meaningful trip. Almost two years later my dad and I still talk about this tour with such fond memories. Mike is truly a passionate expert with so much respect for the history and sacrifice of the brave men who fought that day. His passion is almost palpable and is infectious. For anyone with an interest in WW2 history I would say this is a must-do tour. There was not a single question he couldn't answer and his background on the sites and he had so much respect in for each site. Beyond the incredible experience of his tour, Mike is absolutely a joy of a guide in that he inspires greater interest in WW2 history. After returning from France my dad and I drove multiple hours to the National D-Day Memorial in our home state of Virginia. Mike's commentary and knowledge of that site also added so much to that trip, really was the tour that kept giving. Getting to the pick-up site was easy and Mike was wonderful at making everyone comfortable and is incredibly approachable for questions. He allowed fair time to independently walk around each site, and allowed us time to pay respects at appropriate locations. I enjoyed seeing the lowering of the flag at the American Cemetery, and was grateful Mike had us there on time to experience that. He had wonderful suggestions for where to eat and getting to Bayeaux was very easy from Paris (my dad and I bought tickets the night we hopped on the train there). Overall was an amazing experience and in my 6 months studying in Europe was one of my top days! Thank you Mike for an unforgettable tour!

A year later and my family is still talking about Mike's tour My family went on Mike's tour in early December 2019 and we are STILL talking about this tour and how it was the best part of our trip. My mom, sisters, niece, and I took my dad who's obsessed with WWII. If I'm being honest, my mom, my sisters, my niece, and I could have cared less about going. Mike's description about the different battles was very descriptive and incredibly interesting. We've been on tours before that our are so boring but Mike's was not the case. Do yourself a favor and book Mike's tour, you will not regret it!

Excellent professional meaningful full day visit Highly recommend Allied Victory Tours! Mike picked my intergenerational group up from our lodge in a remote village in his comfortable, spacious van right on time. We spent the whole day with him and we all enjoyed every minute. What I appreciated was his ability to provide a great, solid overview of the history at each stop that everyone could understand and then he was happy to delve into more details and anecdotes depending on our questions. He also knows when to let the group chill out and admire the countryside during the drives vs when to talk. We were traveling with my two year old and Mike was very patient and accommodating with her, thankfully :). You can't get this kind of an experience no matter how many museums you visit, so if you can, see if you can spend a day with Mike! Memorable, meaningful, educational, and fun experience guaranteed!

Fantastic way to see Normandy’s WWII sites! We just returned from a wonderful day with Mike, who expertly guided us around the American war sites, including the U.S. sector D-Day beaches (Omaha and Utah) and other sites where the Airborne and Ranger units landed (including Sainte Mere-Eglise and Pointe du Hoc). His deep knowledge of military and diplomatic history, and genuine passion for the topic, truly enhanced the experience. Mike was also incredibly kind and courteous, comfortably taking myself, my wife, in-laws, and 2-year-old child in his spacious van. He was very patient and helpful with our childcare needs while on the tour, and used a microphone to give explanations and historical overviews between sites. He also constantly offered us cold water to drink. All in all, I could not have asked for a better way to experience these sites at Normandy (which, as an American, is something I found extremely meaningful and have long wanted to do). If you want a tour of the British or Canadian sites, Mike offers those as well.

Uiterst informatief en (kind)vriendelijk Mike heeft ons een geweldige dag bezorgd. Hij is een uiterst vriendelijke Nederlandse militair, die ons een tour 'Band of Brothers' heeft geboden. In zijn minibus hebben we een rondje langs de markante plekken van de 101e landingsdivisie gemaakt, met extra aandacht dus voor BoB omdat onze zoon die serie goed kent. Mike weet ook de kids (12 en 8 jaar) de hele tour te boeien. Informatief en vriendelijk, zeker een aanrader ook voor gezinnen.

Exceptional tour! My husband and I had a great tour with Mike. He is passionate and knowledgeable about the events of D-Day. He brought the sights to life with his stories. We had a lot of territory to cover and he made every moment informative and enjoyable. He was willing to tailor the tour to our requests. Highly recommend Mike!

First Rate Guide for Normandy I had a great tour with Mike in Normandy. I was tracing the path of my Uncle's Battalion (HQ Company, 1st Battalion, 134th Regiment, 35th Division). Mike was an excellent guide, and really full of passion and knowledge of Battle of Normandy and the D-Day landings. With Mike's help I was able to pinpoint areas that my Uncle's unit fought and he brought to life in particular how the fighting took place with in the hedgerow countryside. In addition to Mike's knowledge of the D-Day landing sites, Mike is also well suited to guide around St. Lo area as he and his wife also run a B&B nearby (Pont de la Pierre - where there is a memorial to the 115th Regiment, 29th Division).

Exceptional Tour! My family of 4 (parents and teenage boys) did a tour with Mike. He was an excellent guide! He has had a passion for this since he was 12 so has so much knowledge to share and interesting stories..even to keep teenagers e engaged! The sites are humbling, moving, beautiful...an incredible day. I am very happy we decided to tour with Mike rather than on our own as he taught us so much and was able to point out things we would not have otherwise noticed. When we return with friends who are visiting, we will not hesitate to have him be our guide again.

Great Family Outing Mike is a fantastic tour guide. Knowledgeable. Informative. Great energy. Willing to tailor the tour to your specific interests. We had our 2 daughters(ages 19 and 24) with us and they also loved the tour. We will find Mike on our next visit.
