Everything you need to know before your tour with Allied Victory Tours.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Tours normally begin at 8:30am from your accommodation in or near Bayeux, and finish there by 5:30pm. If you're travelling in from outside the region on the day of your tour, pick-up can be arranged from a central meeting point — see the arrival details below.
Arriving by Car
Coming via the N13, take exit 37 and follow signs for D572 / Bayeux / Centre Ville. Free parking is available along Boulevard Maréchal Leclerc, just before the train station, with more spaces a little further on along Boulevard Maréchal Montgomery.
Arriving by Train
Travelling from Paris on the day of your tour? Take the early Intercité departure from Paris St. Lazare (around 6am, Intercité No. 3301) — it arrives into Bayeux around 8:40am, in time for pick-up. At the end of the tour you'll be dropped back at Bayeux station by 5:30pm, in time for the return service around 5:40pm. Departure times can shift by a few minutes, so it's worth booking your train tickets ahead through the SNCF website.
Payment: A €100 deposit is required to confirm your booking, payable via PayPal, bank transfer, or SumUp online payment request — no PayPal account needed, just a card. The remaining balance is settled at the end of the tour, in cash or by credit/debit card. Need an invoice? Just ask at least 24 hours ahead of your tour.
Cancellation: Cancel 60+ days before your tour and your deposit is refunded, minus a 10% admin fee. Between 30–60 days out, half the deposit is refundable. Inside 30 days, the deposit isn't refundable.
Weather
Normandy weather can turn quickly. Check the forecast before you travel, dress in layers, and bring an umbrella, a windbreaker, and sunglasses. Sensible walking shoes are a must — there's a fair amount of walking involved.
Lunch
There's a lunch break of around 45 minutes built into your tour. Lunch itself isn't included in the tour price.
